Rosy Pear Compote
1 16 oz. can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
6 medium fresh pears, peeled, cored and quartered
2 oranges, peeled & sectioned
In medium saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, sugar, lemon juice,
cinnamon and ginger. Bring to a boil. Place quartered pears and
orange sections in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Pour cranberry mixture
over. Cover and bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until pears are
tender. Spoon into individual dishes. Serve warm. Serves 6.
